Why You Should Travel Light
Stardate: August 18, 2013
“Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.” ~ Goethe
I’ve never traveled light , not once, ever, since I left my family of origin. With them I did, out of necessity, travel light because my father’s job meant we traveled often and gathered no moss. But after growing up always on the road, I decided I was never going to need stuff on a trip again. “Better to have it and not need it than the other way around” has been my family motto for a very long time.
But that’s all changed now. My husband and I are going to another continent. It’s difficult to move things. So we will travel light. Below is a picture of the street where I live now. We hate to leave. But it’s time.
So we’re packing and reading and making lists of what needs to be done. We have passports. We don’t need visas where we’re going. But we do need to learn more Spanish! Add that to the list.
This is our diary of our journey of a thousand little steps to a new home.

I use Hotels.com to book my hotels worldwide and I have been very happy with their selection, their policies, and their SERVICE. Only a phone call away, they always rescue me if I have any problems. They have a mobile app too, so you can book from your phone, which has saved me a few times. You can read why I love them here. I highly recommend Hotels.com!
When you travel, it can be hard to keep track of the currencies you need to use in different countries. Don’t take a bunch of money. Travel light! You can get more when you get there! Here are a few of the major currency exchange rates for you:
People often ask me how I got the money to do the traveling that I do. I got these courses and learned how to make money blogging!
