Eiffel Tower: Quintessential Paris Experience
This is my favorite of my photos of the Eiffel tower, and it was kind of a fluke. It was freezing cold while we were waiting for the bus and to take my mind off the cold, I took out my camera and looked up and started shooting photos.

I know everyone has seen it, and lots of people have taken photos of it, but I had to take my own, and I rather like how it turned out. You can buy the photo for yourself too, if you want. Just click the link above.
Here’s another one I took and put on a poster that you can buy:

Here’s a shot of one of the lamp posts on their cool bridges with the Eiffel tower in the background. I have a thing about lamp posts which I never understood until I visited La Rochelle and went back to the cathedral I used to attend on Sundays and lo and behold there were lamp posts up and down the aisles and 2 of them flanking the altar. I cried when I saw that cathedral and remembered the lamp posts. Most people can go back to their old neighborhoods and churches if they want to, but I had not seen France in many years when I finally got to go back to one of the first places I remember as a child and it was one of the highlights of our trip. So now I finally understand my obsession with beautiful lamp posts. Paris has magnificent ones everywhere by the way. The whole city has wonderful ones. The city planners must be stuck in an art nouveau dream of some kind and decorate everything in its style. It makes for magnificent streets and bridges, especially when it rains and the lights sparkle in the dark. One of Paris’ many charms!

Here’s a cool bag made by someone else that uses a graphic of the Eiffel Tower. I really love this design! Pretty much a genius example of graphic art. Going to buy it soon!
